Resident Testimonial
Before moving to Hawthorn Park, I was having health issues. I lived in a small community away from the specialists & their hospital facilities. Covid-19 engulfed the world & life as we knew it was in lock down with social isolation, vaccinations & masks required.
My world suddenly changed when my condo sold (not listed!) I had to move my retirement residence appointments forward to be moved in less than 1 month. Yes, moving to a retirement community entail downsizing all the “stuff” I had collected over the years. I had to look at all the positives of being where I needed to be. The opportunities for activities, socialization & volunteering opened again. You can be as active as you wish. I just had to learn to pace myself. My dog Mr. Shaker & I enjoy socializing, but we also love our quite time too.
My move to Hawthorn Park means I have invested in my mental & physical health. The fellow residents become your family here. I really enjoy having someone else cook my meals for me. The staff put that dreaded fitted sheet on my heavy mattress. I get to play & be entertained. I am now living in “heaven on earth” here at Hawthorn Park amongst the “angels” who are the staff & management of Hawthorn Park.
