Ingredients: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1<\/td>Yellow onion, large, halved & sliced about \u00bc\u201d thick<\/td><\/tr>
\u00bc cup<\/td>Butter<\/td><\/tr>
1 tsp<\/td>Minced garlic<\/td><\/tr>
 6<\/td>Russet potatoes, peeled and slice \u00bc\u201d thick<\/td><\/tr>
4 cup<\/td>Chicken stock<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serves: 8<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preheat oven 350 F<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.    Saut\u00e9 onions in butter over medium heat. About 10 minutes until light brown. Add garlic cook 30 seconds. Remove from heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.    Butter baking dish. Layer a third of the potato on the bottom. Layer with half the onions. Season with salt and pepper. Add another third potato and remaining onions. Season and finish with remaining potatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.    Bring chicken stock to a simmer and pour over the potatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.    Bake 350 F for 40 minutes. Test doneness with paring knife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
