It takes practice! And the beautiful part about that is, every minute of every day gives you the opportunity to try it again.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve taken the step to approach the present moment for what it is and let go of positive or negative outcomes, feeling like the outcome is positive in some manner or it being simply a learning opportunity <em>does <\/em>become easier! Over time, negativity will dissipate in favour of this more joyful outlook, which in turn boosts confidence, energy, and the will to approach life with verve, leading to: Limitless Living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do you nurture that healthy mindset?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Get good sleep by implementing a <a href=\"https:\/\/verveseniorliving.com\/news-events-blog\/conquering-insomnia-with-cognitive-behavioral-therapy-cbt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">healthy bedtime routine<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. <\/strong>Nurture the body with healthy foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Exercise at least once a day\u2014endorphin rushes are no joke!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4<\/strong>. Practice embracing every moment\u2019s outcome without prejudice or extreme joy; it just is!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.<\/strong> Journal your feelings and experiences to gain perspective, among <a href=\"https:\/\/verveseniorliving.com\/news-events-blog\/5-reasons-journals-are-beneficial-for-seniors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">other health benefits<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Getting into this healthy mind-body-spirit routine conditions you to be inherently more open and accepting of new situations, experiences, and opinions\u2014ultimately making it easier to try new things!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-your-step-by-step-guide-to-trying-new-experiences-and-embracing-adventure\">Your Step-by-Step Guide to Trying New Experiences and Embracing Adventure.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Establishing the right mindset, as outlined above, is paramount to embarking on Limitless Living. It\u2019s part of understanding that there is no set of standards for which to compare yourself to: This is your life, and only you can live it the way you want to live it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With older age comes the possibility of physical challenges, but those are just that: challenges to meet and explore and fight through with a positive mindset (again, see above! See how important the mind is over the body?). Now that retirement age is upon you, time may feel like it\u2019s flying by faster, but in reality, you have the same amount if not more now to do the things you\u2019ve always wanted to in the absence of all those \u201cmust do\u2019s\u201d that plague regular life, like work and other obligations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask yourself: What is my reason for waking up and getting out of bed? Basically, \u2018If I could do anything today, what would it be?\u2019&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Journal your answer(s) to refer back to! And then get started:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. <\/strong>Expect to let go of expectations and get comfortable with the uncomfortable! Uncertainty is the only certainty. Now that that\u2019s out of the way!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> Start small! Consistent baby steps will help you to increase your adventurous spirit while decreasing the discomfort at the same time! Like easing into a warm bath, it\u2019s lovely once you\u2019re there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Try new things! From food to activities or joining a club. What\u2019s that thing you\u2019ve always wanted to do? With all that mindset work you\u2019ve been doing, you\u2019ll have the courage to step out of your comfort zone a little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> Risky business: Trying something new might still be scary, but you never know where those experiences will lead you; from new friendships to a new hobby, the possibilities are limitless!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. <\/strong>Failure is part of it all.
