This recipe is proof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chef Gary Hartley of Granville Gardens Retirement Residence created this Cherry Maple Glazed Salmon as part of our Living Loving Local program &#8211; a culinary initiative that celebrates fresh, seasonal ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Cherry Maple Glazed Salmon | Seasonal, locally inspired meals\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uZeWhNs-aAg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><br><strong><br>Base:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>6 oz Alaska salmon filets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>white pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Maple Cherry Sauce<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1\/3 cup maple syrup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/4 cup water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 cup cherries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tsp brown sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp soy sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp lemon juice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pit the fresh cherries, or if frozen, thaw and mince.<br>Set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a small saucepan mix the sauce ingredients and bring<br>to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer, uncovered, for<br>10 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rub Alaska salmon filets on both sides with olive oil<br>and salt and pepper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a hot grill pan add the Alaska salmon and cook on both<br>sides for 2-3 minutes depending on thickness.
