“Since moving into The Heritage this past March, it has changed my life for the better. I no longer have to stress about what to cook for dinner, the residents are friendly, and my mobility has greatly improved.” He attends all of our scheduled exercise classes, such as aqua fit, chair yoga, sit & be fit, and drum fit! “Attending daily exercise programs has improved my ability to walk in just a few short months!”
There were several reasons I chose to move to The Heritage. I found myself needing more social interaction. I was finding it difficult to maintain my home. Also, I wanted to make the move while I still had control over my possessions and could make my own decisions. I had several friends at The Heritage whom I knew would welcome me! I know I made the right decision. I am happy with my situation, loving the opportunity to play cards, meet in the Bistro for coffee and enjoy the camaraderie and food at the evening meal. Every staff member is always polite and accommodating. There are many opportunities to mingle and be entertained. I thank God each day for the good life I have here.
It was the right time for me to move, while I could still make my own decisions. The activities are great. the exercise class thrice weekly is very important, plus the aqua fit in the pool three other days. There are many concerts several times a week and happy hour as well. The garden is lovely.
I passed out one evening at an event and had immediate care– even a possibility of being taken to hospital. Hospital was not necessary but during the night there were three visits to make sure I was alright. What if I had been home alone when this happened? I shudder to think.
Suites are cleaned weekly, and there is a choice at mealtimes. The staff is friendly and caring. Living with others of a similar age is very comforting, and sociable. I am very happy I made the move.
I wanted to take a moment to express my deep gratitude for all the help and support you’ve provided during this incredibly stressful time as I’ve been working to bring my sister from Ontario to BC and find her a suitable home in a caring environment.
Your guidance and the tools you’ve shared have been invaluable in this process. Your kindness and willingness to assist in a situation where my sister had very little to rely on have made a difference.
I cannot thank you enough for your dedication and support. Your efforts have been a beacon of hope for both my sister and me. We are profoundly grateful for everything you’ve done.
My father has been here for year and a half at the time of this review. He is happy here. This place is full of employees who love their work and love the people who live there. My father had a change of life – these things happen – and this place was perfect… the clouds parted and down came a ray of light into an otherwise sad situation.
We love our residence at the Heritage. The staff try their best to make every day a great one for us. We appreciate all that they do for us. Everyone is friendly.
Hello, my name is Chris Fabig, and I’ve been a proud resident of The Heritage for about a year now. After my husband passed away, I found myself overwhelmed with loneliness. The Heritage was already a place I cherished, attending events like canasta, yoga, and tai-chi, so it felt like a natural next step.
One day, during a visit, a friend suggested I call Haley about a lakeview suite. Before I knew it, that beautiful suite became my new home, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
As a people person, being in such a warm, vibrant community where there’s always someone to chat with has made all the difference in the world.
