Verve Senior Living has created a diverse portfolio of multi-service retirement residences across the country. Thanks to our successful identification of new development sites, strong partnerships, involvement with municipal leaders, and efficient building construction management, our residences have been well-received and have integrated seamlessly into their surrounding communities.
Since 2007, we have facilitated or advised on the development and acquisition of 2,425 units in seventeen retirement residences across Canada. In addition to proven capabilities sourcing green and brownfield opportunities in the retirement home industry, our team has extensive experience in the acquisition of existing retirement projects and operational properties.

Verve Senior Living is excited to be developing its first retirement residence in the City of Burlington, Ontario. The retail redevelopment site is located on New Street, just west of downtown Burlington and is surrounded by mature residential neighbourhoods. A new mixed-use continuum care development will offer seniors lifestyle apartments, independent living, assisted living, and memory care suites in a contemporary mid-rise building.

Design Concepts and Building Systems
New properties will benefit from experiences to date and be developed to meet current and future demands. The next evolution of projects will see hotel-style amenities such as wellness centres, multiple dining experiences, and electronic suite entry systems. Continuum care residences will include specialized assisted living and memory care suites and amenities.
In addition to these design initiatives, Verve has been implementing and assessing the viability of green technologies which drive GHG reduction. These initiatives include wastewater recovery systems, green roofs, rainwater harvesting, solar thermal, building integrated solar, photovoltaic solar, as well as assessing the sustainability and carbon footprint of construction materials.
Air quality is another important element to our building designs. We are now utilizing individual energy recovery ventilators (ERV’s) in each suite to maximize fresh air changes for our residents. This industry-leading approach to the design of our buildings significantly increases the cost of developing new residences, however it aligns with our vision of being resident-centric.

We pride ourselves on being an industry leader in the implementation of green building technologies. For the last fifteen years, Verve Senior Living has been building projects which use geothermal heating and cooling systems.
