On Thursday, Nov. 19th The Concorde Retirement Community held a COVID Awareness Day.
Residents lined up in small groups of five while standing 6 meters apart in anticipation to see if their hand washing skills past the test. Health and Wellness Manager Yesenia shone the ultra violet light to expose the GLO GERMS.
There was a lot of laughing while scrubbing their hands and singing to the tune of “Happy Birthday” to get in the (20 second handwashing rule)”.
The residents were pleasantly surprised at the results, some perfect and some not so perfect. Following the hand washing test, the resident
s took turns watching an Educational COVID video.
After that, they were awarded with a gift bag consisting of Hand Sanitizer, Soap, masks and a handout on Hand Hygiene and how to wash and sanitize hands correctly.
